We’ve got goats for sale and hay to0
Current News!
March 4th, 2011 by Stepping Stone Farm | Comments Off | Filed in UncategorizedCurrently, we are gearing up for a busy 2011 season with goats kidding, cows calving (cheese and yogurt making). We have added another two acres of garden where we plan to grow potatoes and other storage crops. We have been hulling and milling our own spelt flour.
The greenhouse is full of seedlings and we will start planting as soon as the soil is workable. Wheat, spelt, oats and rye are planted in the 50 acre field. And we want to get summer peas, oats, and millet in as soon as the soil dries out enough to get equipment on the field. We are pruning the orchard and harvesting hickory for the furniture.
Also, we are getting ready to build a cabin for on the North side of the big pond. This could be an opportunity for volunteers to learn some interesting building skills.
